Happy new year all!

Thanks for your support in the last year. Much appreciated.  2011 was a big year for us, not only for the celebration of our 10th anniversary but also for all the individual achievements by our extended Badmood family, a talented bunch makes moves throughout the continent and last but not least the first releases by our newly born Badmood Recordings!

14 june saw the launch of our first release presenting the long time due EP by portuguese artist Nsekt celebrated in style with the launch party in the capital. Following EP’s by 1Way and Ruido, all of which represent the Portuguese electronic / bass music scene of the moment with a clear heritage of the DNB and Dubstep of the end of the nineties and beginning of the noughties, that the 3 artists have been well immersed in.

BMOOD004 – NSEKT – PIKA PIKA

To celebrate a new beginning, we’re really happy to announce our first release of the year by Nsekt, on the much happier, lighter and energy fueled EP, Pika Pika, set to make you burn all the necessary calories still lingering after christmas and bring guaranteed heat to the dance floor to warm up the start of the year.

On a more tropical bass tip than his earlier releases, “Pika Pika”‘ is composed by 5 tracks with a clear influence by the moombahton scene and the diverse african rhythms present all around Lisbon, Nsekt’s home town, while still carrying the characteristic strong and complex beats, sub-bass and variations with a constant eye for dancefloor, that made him a reference name in the portuguese scene of the last 10 years across the country.
